2009 Report Card Data - CARES Assesses Scores for Berwyn Schools

CARES remains committed to raising awareness of the challenges that exist in the three local districts and to improving parent-community involvement in the schools. At the request of our membership, we worked to summarize recent school report card data and in early December 2009, surveyed local superintendents for feedback on the data. District 100 & 201 provided a response, District 98 did not answer the survey.

2009 Berwyn Schools Report Card

Breakdown: Students Meeting/Exceeding State Goals

Emerson, Heritage MS, Piper & Irving exceed the State Average for Meeting or Exceeding State Goals.

Freedom & Heritage MS* failed to meet state standards for disabled students.

Prairie Oak, Havlicek & Pershing* are on Academic Early Warning for students failing to meeting state standards in reading.

Lincoln MS & Morton West** are on Academic Warning for failing to meet Standards for four years.
